morning tears alliance members work in the following fields:
- Providing homes for children whose parents are imprisoned or have been executed
- Providing psychological and emotional support to children whose parents are imprisoned or have been executed
- Facilitating visits of children to their imprisoned parent, including guidance and transport
- Providing training to organizations and institutions to help them address problems that children whose parents are in prison face
- Providing financial support to organizations and projects that help children whose parents are imprisoned
- Lobbying governments to take up responsibility for children whose parents are in prison
- Making people aware about the problems and emotional suffering that children whose parents are in prison have to cope with
- Assisting governments in policy preparation work that concerns children whose parents are in prison
- Encouraging and assisting governments and other NGO's to use minimum standards for child care and protection
